Oratio:
Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam catholicam, sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.
Opus Hodiernus: Concilium.
Concilium, that is latin for "resolutions." Which is a method that some use (forming resolutions) to commemorate the new year (the non-muslims among us, at least). I think that is a great idea, except that this year, I would suggest you allow me to form your resolutions for you : you will learn some fucking Latin.
I mean, I just want to be a bit honest, here. For many of you, though your intentions are good, you're failure to understand the matris lingua of our great savior Jesus Christus is impeding your advancement in your understanding of his truth. So hereforth, from time to time, I will promulgate a dictum diem, a latin word of the day if you will. Anyway, I'll end up dead if I keep talking shit.
Dictus diem:
vicus lux lucis: street light
Suggestions?

I'm curieus. What has a text of Vergilius, who writes about the great deeds of Aeneas and the foundation of Rome, to do with the Bible?
Sorry...posted it under the wrong item
Are you really Mel Gibson?
Here's a Latin phrase for you, Mr. Gibson: Fellator Maximus!
Great blog, Road Warrior ;o)
"You're failure to understand the matris lingua of our great savior Jesus Christus is impeding your advancement in its understanding."
Nope, it's people like you who use your status to run the mindless mass back into the dark ages that are "impeding" the advancement of the human race. To say that one would need to learn a dead language to understand the teachings of ones chosen diety, is like saying to understand how the human body works you need to spend your time learning bloodletting and leech therepy. Just think about it. If whomever controls this universe wanted us to know the language that he knew, he would not have mused us into creating other languages. Please, Download a bible onto your PDA and read it. Or go write sanctus liber libri on some papyrus somewhere else, please leave the toiling masses alone.
Yeah, so.
Jesus Christ's "Mother tongue" was hebrew retard. He was F'ing jewish. Latin was spoken by the masses of Rome, and the ruling class, so he may have KNEW it, but it was hardly his first language.
If you had the first idea about the life of the mythical "lord" of christianity you'd also know that the Romans were the enemy of christianity until decades after Christ's death. Honoring a culture and society that faught against and eventually killed the "founder" of your religion is only slightly less than intelligent.
