Opus hodiernus: Artus Poetica

I had hoped to talk a little bit about my movie (pretty excited), but I have been surprised by some (judeo-secularists, perhaps?) who have seemed to take issue with my suggestion that the TRUE language of the church should be that which is used in the church.

I was thinking about this, and I decided to write a poem to make my point. I think the Lord may have guided my hand in writing this poem, because I read it to my dad, and he thought it was pretty good.

Hung high upon a pole

For us he gave his soul

For us he was so nice,

He made his sacrifice

And is it so much to ask,

Those of us who sin,

He died upon the cross

Can’t you learn Latin?

I am Udo, I am here to save you from "Mr. Gibson". You are Cj. A mindless sheep that praise's someone with no theological credentials. "Mel" here is a setback to human evolution. Now that we have had proper introductions, are there any other questions?

Udo? Are you also "anonymous"? Do you write these things and then respond to them yourself? Why do you do this? What theological credentials do you have?

Sorry, Udo, I was put off by the "mindless sheep" thing. This isn't the real Mel Gibson, is it? I mean the one that produced a movie called "The Passion of the Christ"? How could it be? That story is all about love and this person doesn't sound as if he/she (?) has any. Thanks for the input and for the offer but, I already have a Saviour.

So, It looks like I have saved you CJ. I was not offering to be your savior. Just to let you learn what It looks like you learned. You are now a educated free willed soul who will no longer be fooled by "Mel". CJ, You sir, are free to worship as you please. BTW, "Mel", what does your publicist think about you exposing yourself on the interweb? I'm pretty sure that he's not happy.

suo et folium eius non defluet et omnia quaecumque faciet prosperabuntur non sic impii non sic;
sed tamquam pulvis quem proicit ventus a facie terrae;
ideo non resurgent impii in iudicio neque peccatores in consilio iustorum
quoniam novit Dominus viam iustorum et iter impiorum peribit

Psalm 1
Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood the way of the sinner,
nor sat in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season,
and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.

Not so the wicked;
they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous;
but the way of the wicked shall perish.

For those of you who have the slightest ability to judge meaningfully for yourself, please check out this website.

http://freethought.mbdojo.com/foundingfathers.html

It discusses the truth about this country and the bases upon which it was founded. If I'm going to be called a "secularist" I may as well prove it. ANY religious or church involvement in state matters is done in the spirit of Fascism. Religion does not invite debate. Religion does not invite open-minded discussion or social progress. Religion proscribes to outdated ideals based on social norms of past millenia.
Another thing that most people haven't stopped to consider, is the absurdity of christianity being the majority shareholder of the United States religious community, when christianity at it's core is a socialistic ideal. That's right, Jesus was a commie. He believed in feeding the poor and that no man should stand above another under God. He believed in universal healthcare, he never asked if the Lepers were insured. He spent a great deal of his time being a one man social service. So how is it that those who so strongly believe that Christ is the end all be all example of what's good in humanity, and should be copied exactly, don't think for a second that giving back to the community and creating better and more comprehensive social services is serving their beliefs in a more meaningful and fundamental way than attending church could ever be?
