Opus hodiernus: Artus Poetica

I had hoped to talk a little bit about my movie (pretty excited), but I have been surprised by some (judeo-secularists, perhaps?) who have seemed to take issue with my suggestion that the TRUE language of the church should be that which is used in the church.

I was thinking about this, and I decided to write a poem to make my point. I think the Lord may have guided my hand in writing this poem, because I read it to my dad, and he thought it was pretty good.

Hung high upon a pole

For us he gave his soul

For us he was so nice,

He made his sacrifice

And is it so much to ask,

Those of us who sin,

He died upon the cross

Can’t you learn Latin?

Oratio:

Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam catholicam, sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.

Opus Hodiernus: Concilium.

Concilium, that is latin for "resolutions." Which is a method that some use (forming resolutions) to commemorate the new year (the non-muslims among us, at least). I think that is a great idea, except that this year, I would suggest you allow me to form your resolutions for you : you will learn some fucking Latin.

I mean, I just want to be a bit honest, here. For many of you, though your intentions are good, you're failure to understand the matris lingua of our great savior Jesus Christus is impeding your advancement in your understanding of his truth. So hereforth, from time to time, I will promulgate a dictum diem, a latin word of the day if you will. Anyway, I'll end up dead if I keep talking shit.

Opus hodiernus: sensus : I just had to get this shit off my chest. You know how it is.

Arma virumque cano, Troiae qui primus ab oris
Italiam, fato profugus, Laviniaque venit
litora, multum ille et terris iactatus et alto
vi superum saevae memorem Iunonis ob iram;
multa quoque et bello passus, dum conderet urbem,

Musa, mihi causas memora, quo numine laeso,
quidve dolens, regina deum tot volvere casus
insignem pietate virum, tot adire labores

Can that anyone answer me?

Opus Hodiernus---Gubernationus

When I started this blog, I said that I wanted to have a serious dialogue with everyday, normal citizens about the damage being wrought by the rampant socialist judeo-secularism in California. Through this dialogue, I had hoped to find some ideas for halting and reversing the spread of this vile socialist judeo-secularism. The response has exceeded my wildest expectations by far.

Incredibly, an organization, comprised of ordinary grassroots citizens concerned about our great state's future has formed and set up a website asking me to run for governor. Really! This refreshing grassroots genesis can be seen at DraftMelGibson.com

This grassroots movement has been quite widespread, by the way, in its reach. On various conservative blogs that I frequent, I have seen many links to DraftMelGibson.com, and perhaps the enthusiastic response this patriotic group of grassroots activists has engendered is a testament to the backlash against the socialist judeo-secularism which has taken California hostage.

But one comment posting on one rightwing blog, GayPatriot (in itself an oxymoron, right?) caught my eye in particular, and I wanted to correct a misinterpretation made by the author of that posting, and take exception to one other posting by a different author as well.

The first posting started off simply enough. A grassroots patriot endeavored to spread the good word about DraftMelGibson.com. The original discussion topic was about the truly breakneck pace of Democracy's spread around the world under the Bush administration (Great topic!).

This astute comment was made by a grassroots activist:

Patriot, Democracy starts, of course, at home. Let’s get a REAL Republican governor in California. Let’s Draft Mel Gibson!DraftMelGibson.com

But then the conversation took a strange turn

[...]Uhm, what is it about you folks out there and hollywood celebs? Why Gibson? If I had lived there during the recall, I would have voted for McClintock — who would easily have taken the election, in the red states. Course, I didn’t live there, and never will, since Californistan is at the very top of my “no way would I ever live in that socialist pit” list.

Now of course, I have not decided to run for governor, what I am doing is having a dialogue. But I do think that this poster makes a fundamental mistake. They appear to think that since I am an actor from "Californistan (good one!)," I am a socialist liberal. That is quite far from the truth. I am fighting for quite the opposite: a revolution to restore true Christian values in California.

It doesn't end there. Another commenter made a misguided conclusion about me as well.

Which makes me wonder when California’s “Katrina” that exposes the massive failures of Socialist liberalism will occurr.

Not that I would wish that on anybody, but folks need to see the failures for what they are. If it can happen without a major disaster, then so much the better.

Comment by ThatGayConservative — December 22, 2005 @ 1:10 am - December 22, 2005

Now let me be clear here. Unlike many in our liberal media, I certainly do not think that extent of damage from Hurricane Katrina had anything to do with a lack of preparation or resources on the part of FEMA and the Bush administration. To the contrary, it was, quite as the commenter points out, nothing more than the massive failure of socialist liberalism that was on display. I mean, were it not for socialist liberalism, things would not have been nearly as bad; that much is obvious.

I also heartily agree with the author that a horrific disaster which will lay bare the failures of socialist liberalism is not far away for California.

But the commenter appears to be making this comment in connection with the last one, implying that some grassroots Californians' desire to get me to run for governor is somehow a manifestation of this liberalism.

Anyone who knows me, however, knows that this suggestion is ridiculous. I am no socialist liberal; I want to save California from socialist judeo-secularism. During the course of the wonderful dialogue I am having with all of you on this blog, I will decide how to best do that.

In the meantime, however, I ask all of you God-fearing fans to pay thatgayconservative a visit at his own blog and let him know that he has seriously misrepresented me and my beliefs. Let's put an end to these falsehoods.

Opius hodiernus: artus poetica

Domine Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, salva nos ab igne inferiori, perduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim eas, quae misericordiae tuae maxime indigent.
Oratio Fatimae

Although many in California today don't want me to talk about it, Christmas is fast approaching. And this means that Christ is much on my mind. I wanted to honor Christ, and I thought the best way for me to do it would be to make a poem in Christ's honor. What do you think? I love writing poetry, and would like input from my Christian fans. I think this is a good poem to recite with your family at Christmas dinner.

Christ was born in Jerusalem snow

He said listen to what i say to You

Peace and happiness will come to You

but he was killed by a rotten Jew

Pontius Pilate, he did proclaim

that Jesus should die one Christmas day.

Apocalypsis Iohannis

Opus Hodiernus: Government

The government in the United States, and especially in the state of California, has been overrun by atheistic, brazen, callous, degenerate, erudite, feminist, grotesque, humanistic, idolotrous, jihadisitic, kowtowing, leninistic, marxistic, nihilistic, orgiasitc, progressive, quisling, radical, stalinistic, traitorous, universilitic, veganist, wicked, xenophilic, yellow and zionistic secularists. We cannot allow this to continue. We must, as the Bible teaches us, rule with an iron rod. Those who dissent must be punished severely. A war on Christmas rages in the streets of America! Souls are being lost to athesits, jews and islamics! How much farther can the fair state of California fall before it realizes that secularism is not the way to go? We need a strong America based on a firm Christian foundation, otherwise, we are lost. I would like to ask each of you to go out today and find at least one person. I want you to share my goal with that individual and ask him to share it with one more person. Slowly we will build and then, when the time is right, crash down on the secularists who rule our country like a righteous tidal wave of divine justice.

Peace be unto you.

Pater noster, qui es in caelis
sanctificetur nomen tuum;
Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua
sicut in caelo et in terra
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie.
Et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem;
sed libera nos a malo.
Amen.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I bid you a warm welcome to my blog. While attending morning Mass I was suddenly struck by the idea of reaching out to you over the web. I hope that this blog, with the help of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in His Name we pray, will benefit all of us. More to come soon!
